Erich, Steve, and Jon exact their own brand of vigilante podcast justice with a lengthy discussion about Batman: Arkham Asylum. In other news, Erich gets Rock Band 2, and the Newfoundlanders react to the PS3 price drop with rants about fickle internet fanboys and Microsoft's possible future. This week's Symposium Ad Nauseum is "Most Ridiculously Proportioned Female Characters." How bad does it get? Tune in to find out. It's never a dull moment on the Couch, as the Dixons reminisce on nearly 100 episodes and talk end-of-summer plans, all while Kent whines about being the Cinderella of podcasting. Fox reboots Predator by adding an "s"; Robert Downey Jr. snags another film franchise; Spider-Man swings into a possible fifth and sixth film; Bryan Singer pulls the sword from the stone to reboot Excalibur; and that big ol' Disney Vault swings wide as Kent and Michelle debate environmental protection and the beauty of Never Cry Wolf. Dave, Mac, and Mike R. begin things with a trip down Total Recall memory lane and ponder the relationship between Fake Arnold Head and Real Arnold Head. After that it's onto much more cultivated discussions like a GI Joe sequel, animated reality shows, and the wonder of something called Stunt Rock. Ambush topics: Funky footwear, tough guys who are wusses in reality, and a bizarre choose-your-own topic with the help of Magic Eye. In honor of the big Sony announcement, Erich, Dave, and Tim keep this week's show to a slim 34 minutes. Actually, it has more to do with Erich being sick and Dave needing to hit the local ice cream stand before it closes, but the boys still manage a quick Now Playing segment, talking Wii Sports Resort, Rhythm Heaven, Flipnote Studio, Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia, and everyone's intention to buy Shadow Complex. The news segment is all about Sony's second worst-kept secret -- the PS3 Slim. Will a redesign and lower price tag mean a turnaround for this generation's third place console? Finally, Symposium Ad Nauseum: Non-Main Stream Sports Games. Feel free to join the rest of the junkies in the new Blast Processing! discussion forum. |

Dave, Mac and Erich burn through some bandwidth talking the new Batman video game, Watchmen on Blu-ray, ranking the Harry Potter films, and lame Thai movies about demonic martial artists. Your ambush topics: Movies you watched as a child that you're ashamed of, Foot injuries, and Swapping out Chewbacca for another big-screen alien. Erich spends a good hour trying to separate feuding Canadians Steve and Adam, all while talking games like the Mothership Zeta expansion to Fallout 3, the Batman: Arkham Asylum demo, Left 4 Dead, Wii Sports Resort, Rhythm Heaven, and a massive MMORPG discussion ranging from World of Warcraft to the new documentary Second Skin. In news, Star Wars hits the Virtual Console, Steve loves the Brutal Legend soundtrack, Bioshock 2 has an S.O.S. for the world, Madden 10 has swimsuit issues, and Guitar Hero 5 takes its guns to town. This week’s Symposium Ad Nauseum is surprisingly tricky, but not as tricky as getting Steve to kick off a brand new segment.
