This week, winter creeps into the wilds of Edmonton, Alberta, as Kent hunkers down for an evening with Shirley MacLaine and Debra Winger... much to his dismay. But he did get to wash away his distaste with a nice chaser of HAPPY DAYS: SEASON TWO, while waxing philosophical on "Jumping the Shark," the death of drive-in theaters, life without plumbing, and listener mail. Meanwhile, poor Michelle, who can't get a word in edge-wise, eventually has the opportunity to share her thoughts on Saturday morning cartoons. Don't be alarmed, we'll have them back on their meds next week. Enjoy! Podcast format redundancy does nothing to dissuade our favorite husband and wife team, who are in the process of upgrading to 21st Century HD technology... Michelle could care less. This week Flick Swap has been pre-empted in favor of special family Halloween reviews. With the help of our resident cartoon experts Connor and Emily, Maggie and the Ferocious Beast: Trick or Treat gets a big thumbs up. And for the tweenagers, R.L. Stein's Haunting Hour scares up some darker fun, complete with an appearance of Tobin Bell (Jigsaw). And speaking of scary, Kent's Flick Swap assignment for next week is Terms of Endearment. Poor guy. As we wait for that train wreck, don't forget to check out Kent's written review of Twilight Zone: The Movie. Enjoy!
