DVD Verdict 446 - Sounds and Sights of Cinema (Bronislau Kaper)

We journey back to the 1950s and '60s this week, as Clark spotlights the music of Polish film composer Bronislau Kaper. You'll hear selections from such films as The Swan (1956), The Way West (1967), Ride, Vaquero! (1953), Mutiny on the Bounty (1962), Them! (1954), Lord Jim (1965), and Lili (1953). Clark also reviews Spike Jonze's cinematic adaptation of Maurice Sendak's Where the Wild Things Are, and wraps up the show with a piano version of the theme from Kaper's The Brothers Karamazov (1958), performed by the composer himself. Enjoy!

Clark welcomes your comments, questions, and suggestions in Sounds and Sights Discussion Forum.
