Marvel as the three fill 50 minutes with talk of Modern Warfare 2, Dragon Age: Origins, Borderlands, Brutal Legend, and Tekken 6, while indulging in such nonsensical digressions as the Arrested Development side-scrolling beat'em-up, their to-date Game of the Year choices (Jon and Dave are on the same page and no, it's not XBLA Streets of Rage 2), most-anticipated releases in the next couple of months and, finally, the Negative Nancy segment where they each find fault in a beloved 2009 release. Thu, 22 October 2009 ![]() Join Pixel Verdict's Canadian contingency as they waste about an hour of your time. Jon's been playing Brutal Legend, and throws the gauntlet down for one Tim Schafer of Doublefine Studios. Adam has been spending quality time with his wife and Rock Band. Steve's wife, meanwhile, is cheating on him with his copy of Brutal Legend, so Steve drowns his loneliness with Demon's Souls, and the amazing Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and Borderlands. The boys discuss the news of the week (or lack thereof) with their typically Canadian lack of zeal, including Steve's dissatisfaction with Natal support for Fable II and Fable III; Grand Theft Auto thrusting beyond the borders of good taste; a new game from the Timeshift guys; and Street Fighter IV's Seth gets tougher. Adam waxes philosophical about a particular '90s cinematic masterpiece featuring a pre-Party of Five Scott Wolfe and short shorts-wearin' Alyssa Milano. You'll have to listen to find out what it is. It all ends in a climactic discussion about brawlers good and bad. Feel free to join the rest of the junkies in the new Blast Processing! discussion forum. Comments[0] |

Thu, 1 October 2009 ![]() The head shrinker takes a week off, leaving the inmates to run the asylum. Steve, Adam, and Jon bring some Canadian flair to the proceedings, as they dig deep, peel back the layers, and get to the real heart of video game podcasting. Adam talks about World of Warcraft content updates, Jon gets Wet, Steve races fast cars and prances around New Mombasa as Nathan Fillion, and share the Scribblenauts love. We learn no one wants a PSP Go, Super Street Fighter 4 is coming, Dave Johnson needs a new roof, Steve wants Enslaved, plus Bioware (but not pure wholesome Canadian Bioware) and Lucasarts are gearing to start beta testing on Star Wars: The Old Republic. Meanwhile, more games are scheduled for Q1 2010 (including obscure stuff only Steve cares about) and Demon's Souls is made HARDER? What? We wrap everything up with a discussion about crappy physics or crappy Genesis games. This episode may be bad, but it ain't Earnest Evans! Thu, 20 August 2009 ![]() In honor of the big Sony announcement, Erich, Dave, and Tim keep this week's show to a slim 34 minutes. Actually, it has more to do with Erich being sick and Dave needing to hit the local ice cream stand before it closes, but the boys still manage a quick Now Playing segment, talking Wii Sports Resort, Rhythm Heaven, Flipnote Studio, Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia, and everyone's intention to buy Shadow Complex. The news segment is all about Sony's second worst-kept secret -- the PS3 Slim. Will a redesign and lower price tag mean a turnaround for this generation's third place console? Thu, 30 July 2009 ![]() The Newfoundland dream team Steve and Jon join Erich for almost exactly an hour of video game tomfoolery. Erich partly recants last week's tirade against The Beatles: Rock Band track list, which leads into a discussion about the future of music games. Steve runs down the news, including more games pushed to 2010, Marvel super heroes invade LittleBigPlanet, and no more Halo after Reach... or is there? An abbreviated news segment touches on the head-scratching possibilities of a game in which Mr. T fights Nazis, and the latest rumors about the next PSP.
